Flowtask reminders take the pressure off remembering due times yourself. When you toggle a reminder on a task, Flowtask automatically sends you an email at the exact moment the task is due — so you can focus on your work and trust the app to nudge you at the right moment.

How reminders work

When a task has a reminder enabled, Flowtask schedules a notification for the task’s due time. The moment that time arrives, an email is dispatched to the address associated with your Flowtask account. No mobile push notification or in-app alert is required — the email finds you wherever you are.

Enabling a reminder

1

Open the task creation form or detail panel

Create a new task with C, or click an existing task’s title to open its detail panel.
2

Set a due date and time

Click the Due date field and choose a date. Then set a specific due time — for example, 9:00 AM. A timed reminder requires a time; toggling All day disables the reminder option.
3

Toggle the Reminder switch

Flip the Reminder toggle to the on position. A confirmation indicator appears next to the field.
4

Save the task

Press Enter or click away to save. The reminder is now scheduled.
Reminders fire at the task’s exact due time. Make sure your due time is correct before saving.

Email notification

When the reminder fires, you receive an email containing:
  • Task title — so you know immediately which task is due
  • “Due Now” indicator — a clear signal that this task needs your attention right now
  • Complete button — a one-click button in the email that marks the task as complete without requiring you to open the app

Notification preferences

To manage your email notification settings, navigate to Settings → Notifications. From there you can:
SettingDescription
Email notificationsMaster toggle to enable or disable all reminder emails
Turning off email notifications disables all reminder emails globally. Individual reminders remain saved on your tasks and will resume sending if you turn notifications back on.

Requirements

Before setting a reminder, make sure both of the following are true:
  • A due date is set — reminders cannot be scheduled without a due date.
  • A specific due time is set — all-day tasks do not support timed reminders. If All day is toggled on, the Reminder option is unavailable.
If you update a task’s due time after enabling a reminder, disable and re-enable the Reminder toggle to make sure your reminder reflects the new time.
