Your Flowtask account is the foundation of your workspace. This guide walks you through signing up, completing the onboarding flow, and configuring your profile — including setting a password, uploading a photo, and choosing how your workspace looks and feels.

Sign up

Flowtask offers two ways to create an account. Choose the method that works best for you. Email + OTP
  1. Go to the Flowtask sign-up page and enter your email address.
  2. Click Continue — Flowtask sends a 6-digit one-time passcode to your inbox.
  3. Enter the OTP on the verification screen to confirm your email and activate your account.
OTP codes expire after 5 minutes. If yours expires, return to the sign-up page and request a fresh one. If you enter an incorrect code too many times, you will be temporarily locked out for security reasons.
Google OAuth Click Sign in with Google on the sign-up page. Flowtask uses OAuth 2.0 to authenticate you through your Google account securely. No separate password is needed.

Onboarding

After signing in for the first time, Flowtask guides you through a three-step welcome flow to get your workspace ready.

Welcome

A brief overview of what Flowtask can do for you. Click Get Started to proceed.

User Profile

Enter your display name — this is how you’ll appear across your workspace. Optionally, upload a profile photo to personalize your account. Both can be updated later from your account menu.

Completed

Your workspace is ready. Click Go to Dashboard to open Flowtask and start working.

Change your password

For email-based accounts, you can set or update your password from your account settings.
  1. Open your account menu from the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Navigate to the Security section.
  3. Enter your current password (if one is already set), then enter and confirm your new password.
  4. Click Save Password to apply the change.
If you signed up with Google, you may not have a password set yet. You can add one at any time from your account settings.

Upload a profile photo

A profile photo helps personalize your workspace and makes it easier for teammates to identify you.
  1. Open your account menu from the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Click your current avatar or the Upload Photo button.
  3. Select an image file from your device. Flowtask accepts JPG and PNG formats up to 5 MB.
  4. Crop or adjust the image if prompted, then click Save.
Your photo can be removed or replaced at any time.

Display preferences

Flowtask lets you choose between list and board layouts to suit your workflow.
  1. Open any view that supports multiple display modes, such as Today.
  2. Click the Display toggle in the page header.
  3. Select List for a linear, scrollable task list, or Board for a column-based Kanban layout.
Your display preference is saved to your account and applies the next time you open Flowtask.

Theme

Flowtask supports both dark and light modes to match your environment and reduce eye strain.
  1. Locate the Theme toggle at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Click it to switch between Dark and Light mode instantly.
